As of the time of writing, this lens remains in pre-order state, but some of the camera kits that include it have began shipping (eg NEX-6 w/16-50mm).

PS: Yes, "mirrorless lens" serves as a shortcut to "lens designed to be used with mirrorless camera systems". It's faster to type it! Although if you have to write another paragraph to clarify it, is it really faster? :-)

The lens is currently in-stock for its rather reasonable starting price of $200 in the NEX and M43rds mounts.
