ePhotozine is back and they are now taking a look at one of the Zeiss NEX APS-C lenses, the Sony Zeiss 16-70mm f4 ZA OSS. The full frame lenses have the "FE" in their name, which obviously the previous non-FF E-mount lenses do not have.
Photozone strikes again! Put on your review-reading contact lenses, they are opining on one of the new FE lenses! Here is what they thought of the Sony Zeiss 35mm f2.8 FE ZA lens for the Sony NEX e-mount mirrorless system. (Just because Sony decided to stop calling it NEX, it doesn't mean it stops being NEX!)
Sony just announced a big wave of 35mm full frame mirrorless camera gear and one of the new full frame mirrorless system lenses, the 35mm f2.8 FE ZA Sonnar has a completed review waiting for you at Photo Review.
This new lens along with all the other new gear (a7, a7r, full frame primes, etc) are available for pre-order right now.
Obviously the lens of the Sony RX1R is glued to the Sony RX1R, but Dxomark put it through their lens testing and shared their findings, so you can see how it does compared to similar interchangeable lens camera lenses. Very useful if you are trying to decide whether to get the RX1R or just get another prime lens for your 35mm full frame DSLR.
These are lens reviews, but obviously the lenses cannot be unglued without damage to the mothership. Dxomark decided to send through their lens review testing scheme the lenses of the Sony RX100 Mark II and the Panasonic LF1. Obviously these are not a "canon" iLC lenses, but lenses they are and lens reviews they received :)
